About NTP

Who We Are

Ngunytju Tjitji Pirni Aboriginal Corporation — led by strong Aboriginal women, serving the Goldfields for over 30 years.

Our Story

Community-founded, Aboriginal-led

Ngunytju Tjitji Pirni Aboriginal Corporation (NTP) was established in the early 1990s in Kalgoorlie, in collaboration with local child health experts. From the beginning, NTP has been led by Aboriginal women who understand the community from the inside.

For over 30 years, NTP has provided culturally safe, home-based care for Aboriginal women, mothers and their babies — delivering antenatal and postnatal support, infant health checks, immunisations and specialist referrals through trusted Aboriginal health workers.

NTP is an Aboriginal Controlled Community Organisation (ACCO). That means the people making decisions about the organisation are from the community — not government, not a distant board, but local Aboriginal women who are invested in the outcomes.

In 2023, NTP's Hannan Street family centre reopened after an eight-year hiatus, following extensive renovations supported by local donors and organisations. The revitalised hub is now a welcoming, functional and culturally appropriate space where programs can be delivered for generations to come.

Our Vision

To empower individuals, children and families to build resilience and courage, while cultivating strong and collaborative connections across the community.

Recent Milestone

$250,000 WA Government Grant

In October 2025, the Cook Labor Government awarded NTP a $250,000 one-year grant to develop a Goldfields Indigenous Healing Service (IHS).

NTP will use the grant to undertake community engagement, determine the viability of a Kalgoorlie-Boulder IHS, and develop a place-based service delivery model informed by traditional and local Aboriginal healing practices.
